O2 Employment Services is working with a local Dermatology office who is looking for a certified Medical Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term role in Redding, CA.
The ideal candidate would be great with people, comfortable multitasking in a face-paced environment, and who has strong computer skills.
Compensation of the Medical Assistant:
- $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Monday, 7:30am – 4:30pm/Tuesday-Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm/Friday, 6:30am – 12:00pm.
- Vision, dental, medical
Qualifications of the Medical Assistant:
- Must be certified with the state of California as a Medical Assistant.
- 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant – Preferred.
- Strong computer skills – Required.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to assist in back or front office.
Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:
- Rooming Patients.
- Scheduling x-rays, procedures etc.
- Taking patient vital signs.
- Preparing rooms and patients for consultations and procedures.
- Maintaining sanitation and sterilization.
- Learn and abide by industry specific laws and regulations.
- Assisting the doctors with anything else needed.
- Collecting patient information.
- Documenting patient interactions and medical needs.
- Coordinating payments with billing and insurance.
- Calling in Rx.
- Assisting with front desk responsibilities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
