O2 Employment Services is working with a local Academic Institution for their next Executive Director. This is a part-time, long-term, remote position based in Redding, CA.

The Executive Director’s (ED) primary focus is directed at supporting the facets of association activities: Association Management and Growth, Financial Management, Professional Development, Advocacy, and Marketing.

Compensation of the Executive Director:
  •  $85,000 salary exempt
  • Vision, dental, medical offered through O2 during probation period

Responsibilities of the Executive Director:
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate a wide range of activities in support of the Institutions mission, goals, and objectives 
  • Manage complex tasks effectively in a high-stress environment during peak seasons, including the ability to set priorities, achieve objectives, and meet deadlines 
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with Association staff and contractors/consultants as well as the BOD  
  • Work with little direction including having the ability to make decisions and act independently within a guided framework with varying levels of direction, planning, and ambiguity  
  • Understand the dynamics of organizational management and the ability to manage 
  • Utilize office computer technologies including word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, Google tools, office productivity software, and database management.  
  • Communicate effectively both in written and oral communications 
  • Manage complex tasks effectively in a high-stress environment during peak seasons, including the ability to set priorities, achieve objectives, and meet deadlines.  
  • Oversee day-to-day operations in program development, financial management and accounting, marketing, and human resources. 
  • Provide leadership in developing organizational, membership, resource development, program, and financial plans with the Board of Directors. Implement plans and policies authorized by the Board. 
  • Authority to negotiate and enter into agreements for the purchase of goods and services reasonably necessary to and in the ordinary course of business, and in accordance with approved budget and expenditures.  
  • Research and prepare reports related to board protocol.  
  • Development and communication of annual public report.
  • Responsible for managing association databases and all related materials.  
  • Responsible for association archives. 
  • Support the Board function related to election of the officers.  
  • Responsible for Board meeting and retreat preparation.  
  • Support the development of policies and procedures. 
  • Coordination of elections.  
  • Board development, onboarding, and support. 
  • Support legislative and external liaison management.
