One of the leading home health care agencies is looking for an experienced CPA Controller. This person will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, and management of billing, AP and payroll staff. This is a full time, long term opportunity located in Redding, CA.
Requirements of the CPA Controller:
  • Proven working experience as a Financial controller
  • Be a CPA
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Extensive experience in corporate accounting and financial management
  • Advanced knowledge of general accounting
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; tax compliance, labor & employment, etc.
  • Master of Microsoft Office (especially in Excel)
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated team building and team-leading experience
Benefits of the CPA Controller:
$70-$90k a year, depending on experience
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities of the CPA Controller:
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and
  • Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly and yearly financial statements
  • P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and fiscal year-end close process
  • Hire, train, mentor, and supervise the accounting department to success
  • Create reports of performance against budgets and forecast
  • Coordinating audits and financial reviews as necessary
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting
  • requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to
  • maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Other duties as assigned
