This Cookie Policy explains what cookies we use on o2employmentservices.com, why we use them, and how you can control them.
1.What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function, remember your preferences, and collect information about how visitors use the site.
Similar technologies include pixel tags, local storage objects, and device identifiers. We use these alongside cookies and refer to all of them collectively as “cookies” in this Policy.
2.Consent and Your Choices
Cookies that are essential for the site to function load automatically and cannot be switched off. All other cookies are blocked until you give permission through the cookie banner shown on your first visit.
The banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all optional cookies, or choose by category. Accepting and rejecting take the same number of steps. Your choice is stored and applied on future visits, and you can change it at any time using the cookie preferences link in the site footer.
Declining optional cookies does not affect your ability to browse the site, contact us, view open positions, or apply for a job.
Because your choice is stored in a cookie that expires after about 30 days, you may be asked again periodically. Clearing your browser cookies will also reset your choice.
3.Category 1: Essential Cookies
These cookies are required for the site to work. They handle page security, form submission, and remembering your cookie choice. They do not require your consent and cannot be disabled through the banner.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| crumb | Squarespace | Security token that prevents cross-site request forgery when you submit a form | Session |
| ss_performanceCookiesAllowed | Squarespace | Records whether you allowed performance cookies | 30 days |
| ss_marketingCookiesAllowed | Squarespace | Records whether you allowed marketing cookies | 30 days |
4.Category 2: Performance Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site, including how many people visit, which pages they view, how long they stay, and whether they are returning. We use this to improve the site. These cookies load only after you allow them.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ss_cvr | Squarespace | Identifies a returning visitor so repeat visits are not counted as new ones | About 13 months |
| ss_cvt | Squarespace | Marks the end of a browsing session for visit counting | 30 minutes |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors | About 13 months |
| _ga_JH3EMX2F6J | Google Analytics | Maintains session state and counts page views | About 13 months |
Google Analytics transmits your IP address and device identifiers to Google, which processes that data as our service provider. We have not enabled advertising features in Google Analytics, so this data is not used to build advertising audiences or to personalise advertisements. To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.
5.Category 3: Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies are used to measure advertising performance, show advertisements to people who have previously visited a website, and build audiences on advertising platforms. They typically involve disclosing device identifiers to third-party advertising companies.
We do not currently use marketing cookies on this site. We do not run third-party advertising pixels, and we do not disclose visitor identifiers to advertising platforms. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, no separate opt-out mechanism is required.
If we add advertising tools in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy, and those cookies will load only after you allow this category.
6.Forms and Embedded Content
Some forms on our site are hosted by Ontraport, our customer relationship management and marketing automation provider. When a page containing one of those forms loads, Ontraport may set a short-lived session cookie that allows the form to work correctly and prevents duplicate submissions. Information you enter into those forms is transmitted to Ontraport and processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
Our site also includes an accessibility tool that allows you to adjust display settings such as text size and contrast. It may store your display preferences on your device so they persist as you move between pages.
7.Managing Your Cookie Preferences
Cookie banner
On your first visit you are shown a banner offering Accept All, Reject All, and Manage Preferences. Accept and Reject are presented with equal prominence and require the same number of clicks.
Change your preferences at any time
Use the cookie preferences link in the site footer to review or update your selections. Withdrawing permission is as easy as giving it.
Browser settings
You may also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies and to be notified when one is set. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working. Instructions are available from Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
8.Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
Global Privacy Control. If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, to the extent required by applicable law. As described in Section 5, we do not currently engage in those activities, so no action is needed, but the signal is honored regardless.
Do Not Track. Our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals, because there is no universally accepted standard for how those signals should be interpreted.
9.Third-Party Cookies and Platforms
Some cookies on our site are set by third-party services operating under their own privacy policies. We do not control how those third parties use the data they collect, and we encourage you to review their policies.
Several parts of our service run on separate platforms with their own cookies and their own cookie notices, including our job board and resume submission system, our secure document upload, our employee and manager portals, and our training portal. This Cookie Policy covers o2employmentservices.com. When you use those platforms, the provider’s notice applies.
10.Updates to This Cookie Policy
We update this Cookie Policy as our technology, tools, and legal requirements change, and we review the tables above periodically to confirm they reflect what actually runs on the site. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
