O2 Employment Services is partnering with a local Property Owners Association seeking reliable and hardworking individuals for a Weed Abatement Labor / Landscaper position. This is a full-time, temporary position located in Cottonwood, CA, with work starting in late May. Ideal candidates will have experience with landscaping, vegetation control, and using handheld equipment in outdoor settings.
Compensation and Schedule of the Weed Abatement Labor / Landscaper:
- $17.50 per hour
- Monday through Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm
- Overtime may be available
- Benefits available through O2 Employment Services
Responsibilities of the Weed Abatement Labor / Landscaper:
- Perform seasonal weed, brush, and combustible vegetation abatement to meet fire safety regulations
- Operate handheld landscaping tools and equipment such as weed whackers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance including mowing, raking, and general cleanup
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain
- Interact professionally and respectfully with HOA residents
- Maintain a safe and clean job site at all times
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications of the Weed Abatement Labor / Landscaper:
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record – Required
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite – Required
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in physically demanding outdoor environments
- Friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor when interacting with residents and staff
