A local vertically integrated, premium bottled water manufacturer whose product is sold nationally and is experiencing significant growth is looking for a Sr. Accountant. Candidate must have a great attitude and be team and customer service oriented. Compensation includes base pay and benefits commensurate to job experience. This position reports to the Controller but will interface with all areas of the Company. This is a long term full time position, located in Redding, CA.
Requirements of the Sr. Accountant:
  • Successful candidate will be team focused with a BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance; 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting processes.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and communicate business processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to communicate verbally and electronically with a high level of professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
  • NetSuite experience required.
Benefits of the Sr. Accountant:
$60k-$80k a year, depending on experience
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities of the Sr. Accountant:
  • The successful candidate will play a vital role in a variety of functions, including accounting for multiple entities, month close – including journal entry preparation, process development and improvements, documentation of policies and procedure.
  • Assist with financial reports, records, and accounts
  • Manage billing processes
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger
  • Maintain and prepare property tax reports
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Prepare documents for audits
  • Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
  • Work to improve financial processes
  • Perform general bookkeeping and organize financial forms, documents, and receipts
  • Be a key part in training new staff and maintaining Accounting Procedures Manual
  • Prepare and file state bottle deposit returns
  • The Staff Accountant will also assist with other tasks/projects as required
