O2 Employment Services is working with a local Upscale Restaurant looking for their next talented Sous Chef. This is a full-time, long-term position located in Redding, CA. 
 
Compensation of the Sous Chef:
  • $20-$23/hr 
  • Vision, dental, medical

Qualifications of the Sous Chef:
  • 1-2 years of culinary experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant preferred
  • Knowledge of best practices for upscale kitchens and implementing kitchen procedures
  • High level of creativity and reliability
  • Flexible schedule required, including availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities of the Sous Chef:
  • Stay up-to-date on the preparation, arrangement, and plating of dishes per the current menu
  • Adhere to culinary standards and regulations
  • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns
  • Assist the Lead Chef with developing new menu choices based on seasonal ingredients and customer demand
  • Assist with tracking, recording, and replenishing inventory as needed
  • Cross-train on multiple stations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
