O2 Employment Services is working with a local Veteran-owned Manufacturer who is looking for a 2nd Shift Supervisor/Welder. This is a full-time, long-term role in Redding, CA.
Compensation of the Shift Supervisor/Welder:
- $26- $29 per hour, depending on experience
- Vision, dental, medical offered through O2
- 2nd Shift 4:00pm – 2:30am
After the probationary period the company offers:
- 401k – up to a 4% match, or other long-term incentives

Qualifications of the Shift Supervisor/Welder:
- Lead and manage a successful team with proven supervisory experience, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Education preferred: Certification in SMAW, GMAW, MIG, TIG, or FCAW welding, OR a minimum of 2 years of hands-on welding/fabrication experience.
- Experience operating forklifts and hoists is preferred.
- Ability to understand and work with fractions in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in comprehending and managing machinery processes.
- High School Diploma is required.
- Demonstrates consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliable work ethic.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, willing to take initiative, assist colleagues, and volunteer for additional tasks as needed.
Responsibilities of the Shift Supervisor/Welder:
- Lay out, cut, fit, measure, and weld metals to fabricate desired shapes or objects according to specifications.
- Read and accurately follow blueprints, prints, and detailed drawings to ensure precise fabrication.
- Conduct quality assurance checks, including weld quality and tolerance testing, to maintain high production standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure project specifications, deadlines, and safety protocols are met.
- Supervise and provide guidance, support, and training to welding team members to ensure successful project completion.
- Monitor workflow and prioritize tasks to ensure production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, equipment maintenance schedules, and industry standards.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned to support operational needs and team success.
