A local pool and supply company is currently seeking candidates to interview for their Service Technician position. This is a great full-time opportunity with a locally owned and reputable pool company.
Qualifications of the Service Technician
- MUST be 21 years of age or older for insurance reasons
- MUST have driving record of at least three years
- MUST have valid Driver License and clean DMV record
- Follow all CAL/OSHA procedures to insure jobsite safety.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
- Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, work in small spaces, and deal with hazardous conditions including weather extremes and dangerous animals.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
- Maintain a clean appearance.
Responsibilities of the Service Technician
• Install, maintain, and repair all pool and spa related equipment for both residential and commercial customers. Diagnose and repair all electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems. Be capable of working with natural and propane gas appliances.
• Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial #, and take picture if necessary.
• Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacture’s recommendations, and fully explain to customer servicing issues at hand.
• Maintain adequate parts, tools and other equipment as need in vehicle.
• Keep vehicle in good working order. Maintain as necessary at company approved service centers. Keep interior and exterior cleaned frequently. Drive safely at all times.
• Participate in Company provided training activities on latest industry technologies.
• Identify potential opportunities for additional business including newer systems, monthly cleaning service contracts, etc.
• Turn in all receipts and completed work orders at the end of each day.
• Relating to all warranty work; provide sole responsibility for placing warranty replacement items in a designated area, as well as, getting the appropriate paperwork to the responsible individual to handle the replacement.

• $25-$28 an hour, depending on experience
• Daytime hours
• Full-time; 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed
