O2 Employment Services is working with a local concrete manufacturing company to find their next Quality Control Technician. This position is a full-time, long-term opportunity located in the Redding area.
Quality Control Technician Benefits
  •  $20 – $30 per hour depending on manufacturing management experience

Quality Control Technician Requirements
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Certification, Grade I highly preferred
  • ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Certification Level 1 highly preferred
  • ACI Strength Testing certification highly preferred
  • 1-2 years of quality control experience ensuring production standards are met
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to move freely about a construction site that at times presents a demanding terrain including, but not limited to uneven and often wet surfaces, and slopes
  • Ability to identify and solve pouring issues
  • Ability to identify and participate in the solution for repeat casting problems
  • Ability to diagnose and remedy concrete strength or consistency problems
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, punctual, and impeccable time-management skills
  • Computer competency using Outlook, MS Office Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Quality Control Technician Responsibilities  
  • Perform field testing on concrete that includes slump, density, air content, unit weight, cylinders, etc.
  • Transport test cylinders to the lab, log, strip, mark cylinders, and put in tanks
  • Complete lab work which includes compression testing of cylinders and tests on aggregate that include
  • gradations, moisture content, etc.
  • Maintains accurate and current documentation of testing procedures and results
  • Be able to analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot data
  • Maintains lab area and lab equipment
  • Keeps shop clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency
  • Inform QC Manager of nonconforming results
  • All other duties as assigned
