O2 Employment Services is working with a local Tree Service Company who are looking for a Project Engineer. This is a full-time, long-term role in Redding, CA.
The Project Engineer will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing tree service projects to ensure they are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position requires a strong background in project management and engineering principles, with a focus on the unique aspects of tree service operations.
Compensation of the Project Engineer:
- $25.00- $35.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Vision, dental, medical offered through O2
Qualifications of the Project Engineer:
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within the tree service or landscaping industry.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and construction processes.
- Knowledge of tree care practices, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform site visits, including walking on uneven terrain and working in various weather conditions.
- Capability to lift and carry equipment or materials as needed.
Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, arborists, equipment operators, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate project feasibility and identify potential challenges.
- Provide technical expertise on tree service projects, including risk assessments and engineering solutions.
- Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Overseeing project execution, monitoring progress against the project plan, and making adjustments as needed.
- Manage project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization.
- Address and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during the project.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, logs, and compliance records.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and any changes to the scope or timeline.
- Address client concerns and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, procurement, and financial tracking.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Other tasks as required.
