O2 Employment Services is working with a local Production Company who is looking for a Production Site Manager. This is a full-time, long-term position located in Redding, CA.
The site manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient production, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The role emphasizes health and safety protocols, quality assurance, team development, and operational efficiency.
Compensation of the Production Site Manager:
- $80k – $120k per year, depending on experience
- 401(k)

Qualifications of the Production Site Manager:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agriculture (Food and Resource), Management, or a related scientific field, OR
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- Proven experience in coaching and motivating employees.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Successful track record in managing diverse teams.
- Proficient in setting and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Excel for data management.
- Effective and assertive communication abilities.
- Strong familiarity with the use of stereoscopes and other basic laboratory equipment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety protocols.
Responsibilities of the Production Site Manager:
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety guidelines and legal requirements.
- Report all accidents and incidents properly and discuss with the health and safety officer to find and implement root cause solutions.
- Identify and implement improvements to the safety of site activities.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to monitor and uphold quality levels across all production systems and stages.
- Ensure product quality meets or exceeds expected standards.
- Schedule and oversee production audits with the Quality Assurance team.
- Coordinate hiring and training of all production personnel.
- Handle initial disciplinary issues with HR support.
- Develop individuals and teams through effective management and coaching.
- Remove production constraints and allocate resources to meet established goals.
- Achieve or exceed production KPIs related to yield, cost, and production plan adherence.
- Monitor and improve production yields, identify trends, and implement areas of improvement.
- Manage operational and maintenance expenses, seek cost reduction opportunities while maintaining product quality and minimizing downtime.
- Aid in production and processing activities, including packaging materials, preparing raw material mixtures, and measuring received products for inventory control.
- Contribute to the training of employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
