Office Assistant Summary 
A local community organization is currently seeking qualified candidates to interview for an Office Assistant position. This is a part-time, long-term position with an association organized to improve the business and economic health of the Redding area. 
Office Assistant Qualifications
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Detail oriented 
  • Self-motivated
  • QuickBooks knowledge preferred  
  • Great with Social Media Platforms 
  • Accounts Payable experience preferred
  • Organization skills
  • Comfortable with multi-line phones
  • Demonstrates intermediate level capabilities in MS Office and database programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean DMV record
Office Assistant Benefits 
$18.00-$20.00 per hour depending on experience 
Office Assistant Responsibilities 
  • Greets guests & provides information for telephone, visitors, members & web site inquiries
  • Develop and maintain brochures (restaurant, hotel, economic profile, etc.)
  • Updates, prepares & coordinates relocation packet mailings 
  • Schedule an oversee community events
  • Create Greeters announcements & plaque for host of Greeters 
  • Create marketing materials, assemble graphics, etc., for pre-drafted emails and mailers to communicate organization’s message
  • Prepares packets to provide on-site information about the organization and membership benefits to new members
  • Oversees Scholarship Program (application process, works closely with Scholarship Chair
  • Coordinating program promotion, interviews, etc.)
  • Processes Certificates of Origin
  • Cross-trains on QuickBooks for read-only to answer account questions for members
  • Processes incoming mail
  • Perform supportive admin tasks as needed
  • Assists President/CEO, staff & sub-contractors with special projects and assignments
  • Create & manage member requested posts
  • Post all events to online calendar, website & social media accounts
  • Schedules pre-created content to be posted on various platforms as needed
  • Uploads CEO Takes to website weekly 
  • Mails out New Member Decals
  • Stocks the office with necessary supplies
  • Assists A/P with tasks like filling out check requests, matching receipts to CC statements, etc.
  • Member Phone Calls 
  • Redirects returned mail, contacts members for address updates.
  • Helps host board meetings, orders/picks up food, etc.
  • Creates paper relocation and membership packets
  • Assists in the invoicing process
  • Return general phone calls 
  • Respond to general membership related questions and emails
  • Respond to general community-related emails that come through the website
  • Assist in errands as needed 
  • Assist in preparing member certificates for anniversaries

Monday-Friday 
9:00am-2:00pm
