The Children’s Legacy Center (CLC) is seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to join our team! We are developing a mental health program to serve the specific needs of traumatized children and families in our community. The ideal candidate will have both administrative and clinical skills to pioneer our counseling program while integrating the CLC culture of compassion, kindness, and innovation. As the program develops, the role of the LMFT will expand and require the supervising of counseling interns and mental health staff. This role is integral in the evolution of our mental health program, making cultural competency, innovative practice, and teachability fundamental traits for the success of this role.
Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in a behavioral science 
  • Registered and in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a LMFT
  • 5+ years of counseling experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of childhood trauma
  • Strong administrative skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous counseling supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of grant writing process
  • Previous experience with program development 
  • Previous experience with TF-CBT
Roles and responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development of the mental health program
  • Complete Intake Assessment for children post Forensic Interview. 
  • Develop treatment plan for children/youth who have been impacted by abuse or exploitation.
  • Provide therapy for clients which may include; play therapy, TF-CBT, EMDR, Brainspotting
  • Provide supervision for AMFT’s
  • Work Collaboratively with staff and Multi-Disciplinary Team to provide the best care for children and families
  • Maintain thorough and accurate case records
  • Be prepared for occasional court testimony involving a case
  • Participate in grant writing
