O2 Employment Services is working with a local Fireplace Specialist company who is looking for a Lead Chimney Installer. This is a full-time, regular role in Yreka, CA.
 
Compensation of the Lead Chimney Installer:
  •  $52,000- $110,000, depending on experience
  • Vision, dental, medical offered through O2
  • 4/10 – MONDAY-THURSDAY with overtime opportunities
  • BENEFITS: AFTER 3 MONTH VESTING PERIOD, PTO (up to 80hrs per year), paid holidays (10 days a year), 100% paid base health insurance, Employee discounts, Pay for certificates and training, tools provided, uniforms, company iPad and phone, and work vehicle. After 1 year of employment 401k, full dental and vision insurance.
 
Qualifications of the Lead Chimney Installer:
  • Must have a valid CA driver’s license with a successful DMV record.
  • Must be willing to complete a drug screen and background check.
  • Must arrive on time, ready for work with a packed lunch, uniform on, and personal needs (such as bathroom use) taken care of. Ready to start work no later than 7 AM.
  • Must be reliable. Frequent unplanned absences will affect our ability to meet monthly revenue goals and damage client relations if we have to reschedule too often.
  • Must contribute to a positive company culture. Be positive, supportive, and show care for the team and clients. Continue to learn and grow, be open to communicating when mistakes happen, and help develop plans to prevent future errors, all with a growth mindset and focus on continuous improvement for our clients and team.
  • Must maintain excellent customer service and relations.
  • Must meet the minimum competency requirements as outlined in the Lead Chimney Technician Competency Requirements, following the steps within the designated timeline.
 
Responsibilities of the Lead Chimney Installer:
  • Carpentry: Looking for someone who has foreman level experience with a builder or carpenter. Knows how to use tools such as tape, squares and power tools.
  • Math: Has required math skills to calculate percentages, Pythagorean theorem, roof pitch and degree calculations, converting inches into fractions. 
  • Leadership: Has experience managing and being responsible for a crew. Keeping team on task, training/ supporting other techs they are responsible for, emergency response, project planning and delegations.
  • Communication: Can communicate clearly and effectively with all team members. Needs to be able to communicate proposed project plans and ask appropriate plans to move forward with execution of plan. Can communicate in a positive manner with team members.
  • Safety: Ensures oneself and team are adhering to all OSHA safety regulations. Focus on fall protection, wearing helmets on roofs, wearing gloves, ear protection and eye protection when required. 
  • Organization: Can keep oneself, tools, equipment, truck and job site organized. This promotes efficiency, prevents tool loss and shows professionalism to our clients and team. 
  • Time Management: Capable of staying on task, setting deadlines and hitting those deadlines. Completing jobs on time. 
  • Efficiency: Uses efficiency practices while working and planning jobs. Continues to find ways to improve efficiency. 
  • Professionalism: Using best practices to provide the best professional experience possible for our clients. Maintaining proper language, courtesy of clients home and belongings, looks professional, responds and communicates in a professional manner.
