O2 Employment Services is working with a local Dog Boarder/Daycare/Groomer who is looking for a Kennel Technician. This is a part-time role with the potential to become full-time and long-term in Mt. Shasta, Siskiyou County, CA.
Compensation of the Kennel Technician:
- $16- $17.50 per hour, depending on experience
- Vision, dental, medical offered through O2
Qualifications of the Kennel Technician:
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year of working experience in janitorial field, service industry, veterinary field or the like. Volunteer hours may count as experience.
- Possess strong communication skills and be able to work as part of a TEAM.
- Possess a respectful attitude and positive outlook even during busy workload.
- Ability to be productive, efficient, and respectful during high stress periods.
- Willingness to learn and ability to retain information taught.
- Ability to take direction and constructive criticism well.
Responsibilities of the Kennel Technician:
- Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency.
- Ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. Understand and carry out oral and written direction.
- Frequently required to bend, stand, stoop, walk, sit, communicate, and listen, frequently working in a bent position.
- Ensure that cages and animals are properly cleaned, numbered and identified and that personal property (toys, treats, blankets, leashes) are stored in the proper area and identified.
