O2 Staffing is currently seeking a Yard Attendant to fill an opening with a local equipment rental company. This is a full-time, long-term position located in Redding, CA.
Requirements of Yard Attendant
- Clean DMV & drug screen required
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Experience in the equipment rental or construction industry and/or related field preferred
- Positive attitude
- Excellent verbal communication
- Professional and clean appearance
- Able to communicate effectively with customers
- An ability to function well as part of a team
- Diligent attention to safety
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid California Driver’s License
Benefits of the Yard Attendant
- $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Day time hours; 40 hours per week including some Saturday

Responsibilities of the Yard Attendant
- Load and unload equipment for customers and drivers.
- Inspect equipment for damage upon unloading.
- Refuel equipment with gasoline, diesel, oil, and water; maintain levels for pressure washers and forklifts.
- Clean and service small air tools, electric tools, and bulk rental items.
- Test equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Occasionally repaint equipment and re-scribe equipment numbers.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining rental hoses (discharge, suction, etc.).
- Clean larger rental items (rollers, Rammax compactors, etc.) using a pressure washer on the wash pad.
- Possess general safety knowledge and operate walk-behind and ride-on shop forklifts for moving stationary and tow-behind equipment (compressors, light towers, generators, etc.).
- Use high-pressure washers for equipment cleaning.
- Check hour meters on equipment for usage tracking.
- Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and yard by sweeping floors, rearranging rental equipment, and using a pressure washer.
- Adhere to all Operational Procedures and Quality Control Standards.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Store Manager, Lead Mechanic, or other Managers.
- Frequently hold and grasp with hands when loading and unloading equipment.
- Frequently use feet to operate foot pedals on equipment and trucks.
- Frequently lift up to 25 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Be exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, and fumes.
- Perform other duties as needed.
