O2 Employment Services is working with a local Insurance Company who is looking for a Financial Advisor Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term position located in Redding, CA.
The Financial Advisor Assistant will work directly with the Senior Financial Advisor to grow accounts, provide customer service, and keep operations running smoothly with various sales, admin, and other needs. For the right candidate, this position would lead into a full Financial Advisor role in the future.
Compensation and Schedule of the Financial Advisor Assistant:
- $20.00- $23.00 per hour, depending on experience, during the probationary period. After probationary period, would add commissions onto hourly rate.
- Vision, dental, medical offered through O2.
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Qualifications of the Financial Advisor Assistant:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field – Required.
- Current Life and Health Insurance License – preferred
- Current, pursing, or willing to obtain securities license – Series 6, 63, 65, or 7. – Required
- 1-3 years of experience in the financial field or similar – Preferred.
- Must be a self starter who can work to build accounts.
- Must be creative in sales and marketing.
- Must care about people and clients, more than pushing monetary agendas.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to take direction and utilize company bookkeeping methods.
Responsibilities of the Financial Advisor Assistant:
- Assist financial advisors with daily activities, including maintaining calendars, preparing correspondence, and providing customer service.
- Interact with clients in person and over the phone.
- Prepare and review new account paperwork.
- Facilitate and resolve client service requests.
- Apply a working knowledge of operations/client-service processes.
- Work independently, effectively, and efficiently.
- Ensure paperwork is prepared and provided for all client meetings.
- Handle confidential and/or sensitive information responsibly.
- Maintain admin functions of the office such as office supplies and mail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
