O2 Employment Services is working with a local Tree Service Company who are looking for an Equipment Operator/Class A Driver. This is a full-time, long-term role in Redding, CA.
They’re seeking an experienced and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator with a Class A CDL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various types of heavy equipment and a proven track record of safely operating machinery while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Compensation of the Equipment Operator/Class A Driver:
- $30.00- $40.00 per hour, depending on experience + $40 Per Diem
- Vision, dental, medical offered through O2
Qualifications of the Equipment Operator/Class A Driver:
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Experience hauling equipment or a low boy.
- Experience working with fire crews preferred.
- Experience with GPS and other modern equipment technologies.
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (e.g., OSHA or equivalent).
- Familiarity with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) regulations.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and maintenance practices.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle demanding tasks.
Responsibilities of the Equipment Operator/Class A Driver:
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes on construction sites.
- Perform pre-operation checks and maintenance of equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Safely transport equipment and materials using a Class A CDL vehicle.
- Collaborate with construction teams to complete projects on time and within specifications.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
