The Children’s Legacy Center (CLC) is seeking a Development Director to join our team. The CLC is excited be expanding our services to at-risk and trafficked children and youth in 25+ counties in the Northern California region. The Development Director will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the our development and fundraising program. The Development Director will also be responsible for the CLC’s social media accounts, marketing strategies, fundraising events, and grant writing. We are seeking a self-starter with a high capacity, who is creative, personable, highly organized with thorough attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The Development Director will work closely with our Executive Director to research, design, and promote the growth of our organization throughout the region. 
  • Previous program development/management experience
  • Previous social media content development experience
  • Demonstrated success with marketing strategies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Some graphic design skills
  • Copywriting and Content Writer experience 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous event coordination and fundraising experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, but we will consider applications without a degree but a strong work history
  • Demonstrated grant writing experience
  • Be a creative and strategic thinker 
  • Understanding of SEO
  • Bilingual
Role and Responsibilities 
  • Develop and implement strategies for creating sustainable and diverse funding streams
  • Plan and coordinate major fundraising events and capital campaigns
  • Develop creative and engaging social media content
  • Research and apply for grant opportunities
  • Research and execute new funding initiatives
  • Participate in organization and budget planning
    Rate of Pay:
    $55k-$75k/year, Full Time.

    Who We Are: Legacy Center began in 2016. Our passion is to aid children and youth who have been abused and exploited. We currently achieve this goal by offering forensic interviewing services as a part of our Children’s Advocacy Center. These interviews reduce trauma and help our partner agencies expedite justice for children, youth, and their families. We are now able to build upon this tested and stable foundation and are building out our regional pilot model for exploited children and youth. This model is a diverse, holistic, and far-reaching collection of programs and services that will multiply our impact in the community and beyond. Although each of our team obtains a specific job description, we work collaboratively to develop and expand our organization.
