Chief Business Development Officer / Special Assistant to the President SUMMARY
In collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer, the Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) will build new partnerships to grow and sustain the organization and manage special projects. The CBDO will develop and execute plans for new undertakings and enhance existing lines of business to generate revenue, reduce costs, and progress future growth of the organization.
Significant effort will focus on assisting the Chief Operating Officer in various areas including the Athletic
Department through maintaining budgets, recruiting process, and implementing camps. Additionally, will develop the revenue side of food service driving the ancillary businesses including food truck, catering, concessions, and local community dining service. Future years will focus on developing other businesses to continue revenue growth.
QUALIFICATIONS for Chief Business Development Officer
1. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
3. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, students, customers, vendors, and management
4. Must properly use tact, diplomacy, discretion, and sound judgment
5. Highly professional in integrity and demeanor
6. Demonstrate effectiveness in leading and working as part of a team 
$80k+ per year depending on experience

Essential Functions:
1. Expand fundraising efforts in close partnership with executive management team in line with strategic plan
2. Support fund development efforts through the promotion and execution of year-end fundraising efforts, annual fundraising events, and partnering with the President to steward funding relationships
3. Identify strategic partnership opportunities
4. Identify strategic risks
5. Analyzing current and past financial data and providing strategies to cut costs and increase revenue
6. Developing and pitching ideas for potential investors
7. Develops new business opportunities by leveraging contacts, pursuing new streams of income or new product lines, and improving project efficiency
8. Research and create business opportunities and viable income streams
9. Identify and develop new lines of business
10. Serve as strategic and analytical leader in developing and executing strategic and tactical initiatives that enhance the customer experience, value proposition and economics of the company.
11. Spearhead key business functions to support new business initiatives
12. Oversee special projects for the executive team 
13. Assist the President in developing relationships and partnerships
14. Review and negotiate contracts
15. Analyze and expand business operations towards sustained growth
16. Monitor revenue streams and identify opportunities to increase profitability
17. Develop client relationships and strengthen partnerships
18. Identify new clients by researching and creating networking opportunities
19. Negotiating and closing business deals that promote sustained revenue
20. Other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer and President
21. Travel as requested
22. All other duties as assigned.
