O2 Employment Services is working with a local Construction Company who is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist II. This is a full-time, long-term role in Burney, CA.

The Accounts Payable Specialist II is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of job-related invoices, assisting in month-end closing activities and will assist with the set-up of A/P functions for a new software program and provide administrative support.

Compensation of the Accounts Payable Specialist II:
  •  $23- $25 per hour, depending on experience
  • Vision, dental, medical offered through O2
 
Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist II:
  • Strong competencies in all Microsoft suite software, adobe, and various accounting systems
  • Knowledge and proficiency with computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent, AA degree/certificate in accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the construction and mining industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated experience working cooperatively and effectively as a member of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working in ERP systems is a plus

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist II:
  • Track receivers and invoices pending approval
  • Submits and posts job related invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assists AP to verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by helping reconcile vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
  • Maintains accurate records of invoices, payments, and expenses
  • Reviews and verifies all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval
  • Monitors and tracks expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assists with month-end Accounts Payable closing activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
