O2 Employment Services, Northern California’s leader in staffing and recruitment, is working with a local medical office to find their next Receptionist/Scheduler. Ideal candidates will be personable, detail oriented, and task driven. This is a full time, long term opportunity located in Redding, CA.

COMPENSATION for Receptionist/Scheduler

  • $13-14/hour


Monday-Friday, daytime

REQUIREMENTS for Receptionist/Scheduler

  • High school diploma required
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Successful completion of a medical assistant program
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of clerical experience is required
  • Ability to type 55-60 wpm
  • Requires excellent communication skills, including exceptionally professional written and verbal correspondence
  • Excellent computer knowledge, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is required
  • Good problem solving skills and good judgment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, learn new things quickly, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibly
  • Must be self-motivated to work independently, as well as work well on a team
  • Must have strong attendance record and work ethic, and maintain a positive attitude at all times

RESPONSIBILITIES for Receptionist/Scheduler

  • Maintain front desk
  • Provide administrative support to the team as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Answer telephones, transfer calls, take notes, and answer questions as needed.
  • Schedule appointments
  • Authorize insurance
  • Request supporting documentation and prior exam information from ordering office and other providers
  • Greet patients upon arrival and obtain demographic information, and all meaningful use
  • Retrieval and importing of prior studies from local databases/archives and placing them into the system
  • Process subpoena and medical records requests
  • Assist with flow of patients in injection rooms or imaging suites as appropriate
  • Assist with cardiac stress exams by placing leads, entering information into computers, monitoring, and taking notes during exams
  • Scan clinical documents to include EKG tracings into patient files as necessary
  • Attend to the comfort of the patients in between exams including discontinuing IV catheters when patient is released
  • Data entry, database maintenance, and filing
  • Work with Director and Technologist to continually improve patient flow and workflow practices
  • Ordering all supplies including clinical/medical use supplies in consultation with Technologists, exclusive to radioisotopes
  • Clean work area as needed
  • Complete additional duties and/or tasks as assigned.
