INVENTORY ANALYST SUMMARY

A long-standing forest management and consulting firm is seeking applicants to fill a full-time inventory analyst position in their Redding, California office.

INVENTORY ANALYST HOURS

  • M-F Daytime Hours

INVENTORY ANALYST COMPENSATION/BENEFITS

$40,000-$70,000 $DOE

INVENTORY ANALYST DUTIES

  • Collection, storage, and use of ownership resource inventories. (Spatial and attribute descriptions of the quantity, quality, and dynamics of trees)
  • Data Management that include data collection from field sampling and image-based sources, editing, manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Work with tables and reports in relational databases, and point, line and polygon feature datasets within a GIS
  • Conduct long-term planning analyses
  • Document change over time, create maps, write documents and make presentations
  • Train and supervise technicians
  • Navigate in and traverse forested terrain for field data collection and control
  • Other duties as assigned

INVENTORY ANALYST QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year or equivalent type college degree
  • Must be self-motivated and work well individually and/or in small teams
  • Demonstrate skill in collecting, analyzing, and reporting measurement data
  • Experience with Microsoft access, ESRI ArcGIS, visual basic, and Python
