BOOKKEEPER/PROPERTY MANAGER SUMMARY

O2 Employment Services, Northern California’s leader in staffing and recruitment, is partnering with a Consulting Company to find their next Bookkeeper/Property Manager. The work includes managing well-maintained rental properties, and all aspects of in-house financial management of Employer’s companies and projects which at this time include two construction projects, engineering activities, a number of LLC’s, as well as other interesting work. Ideal candidates will be personable, detail-oriented, and task-driven. This is a part-time, long-term opportunity located in Redding, CA.

REQUIREMENTS for Bookkeeper/Property Manager

  • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer applications
  • Knowledge of data management and financial data analysis
  • An associate degree in accounting, finance, or business an advantage
  • Bookkeeping certification
  • QuickBooks experience is required
  • Excel knowledge
  • Graduate of a 4-year institution is preferred but not required

COMPENSATION Bookkeeper/Property Manager

  • Starting at $19/hour

HOURS for Full Charge Bookkeeper

  • Monday-Friday, daytime
  • Approximately 24 hours per week. Most work is in the office, and once established some work can be done from home, but regular appearances at the office are required. This position will go to full time eventually if desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES for Full Charge Bookkeeper

  • Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, computer printouts
  • Allocate and post-financial transaction details
  • Reconcile and balance all accounts
  • Draw up financial statements (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet)
  • Collate and analyze account data and generate financial reports
  • Maintain internal control systems
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare checks, payments, and bank deposits
  • Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
  • Tenant screening and walkthroughs
  • Vendor coordination
  • Coordination with 3rd party payroll
  • Accounts payable, receivables
  • Banking, loan applications
  • Bookkeeping for everything
  • Recordkeeping and backup
  • Internet research and ordering
  • Assisting with travel arrangements
  • Income taxes are prepared by our CPA, and this job includes bookkeeping and assembly of records for the handful of unique entities including the Employer’s personal returns.
