O2 Employment Services is looking to hire immediately for an accounting specialist to fill a role in a local electrician’s office. The account specialist will be responsible for managing the financial accounts to ensure that all transactions are being recorded correctly. Our ideal candidate is sufficient in QuickBooks, Excel and job costing concepts.

Accounting Specialist Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of the company budget to help meet all financial goals
  • Process and organize invoices to ensure bills are paid and received in a timely manner
  • Account reconciliation
  • Prevailing wage processing and reporting
  • Billing and collections
  • Maintain vehicle files and maintenance records
  • Review ledgers, statements and balance sheets for accuracy
  • Record financial information and provide summaries when necessary
  • Recommend actions to stop misuse of budget and reduce loss
  • Maintain accounts by recording, identifying and verifying financial transactions
  • Follow internal accounting procedures and policies to ensure financial security is maintained

Accounting Specialist Qualifications/Skills:

  • Familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data
  • Outstanding math and research skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency with data entry
  • Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of general accounting experience
  • 1-3 years of experience working with payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred


  • $17-$20 per hour
